The Links at Fancourt is without doubt the most impressive piece of golf design and construction ever in South Africa. Fancourt owner Dr Hasso Plattner, who together with Gary Player took a very hands-on approach in the creation thereof, commissioned a golf course, which would not only be a thorough test for every golfer, but would also rank among the top courses in the world. The Links was the host venue for the 2003 Presidents Cup, which ended in an historic tie after a dramatic play-off between Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. The Links is currently ranked the 30th best course in the world outside of the United States. (The highest ranking of any course in South Africa)

In golf, a given swing will result in a more powerful hit if the ball strikes the club on the sweet spot. The Sweet Spot in Morning Glory has nothing to do with sport but rather sweet indulgence with a choice of assorted cakes, crunchies, mini desserts, chocolate dipped strawberries and for the children candy apples, chocolate marshmallow kebabs and jelly beans.
