The Beauty Centre offers sauna, different kinds of massage, sublime beauty treatments and in house hairdresser. Fitness facilities include a fully equipped gymnasium and a three-kilometre jogging circuit with 12 exercise stations for individual and family runs.
Penina Golf & Resort has always welcomed children and, having this at heart, was the first resort in the Algarve, to build a specialized facility solely dedicated to children. The Penguin Village Children's Club is available for infants from 6 months to children up to 12 years of age. Supervision from experienced staff is only available for children from 3 to 12 years of age although infants from 6 months to 3 years are welcome to use the facilities when accompanied by parents.
The golf range is exceptional. There is a vast area that has enough space for hundreds of people to practise at once. Golfers can hit from grass tees or, in bad weather, from covered bays. Short game practice chipping and putting greens are scattered around conveniently, all of which are maintained to the very highest of standards. Best of all, the staff at Penina realise that its reputation rests on their clients having a fantastic time. Everyone is unfailingly polite and go out of their way to ensure that everyone has everything they need or want.

Previously The Penina, but known as the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course, the main 18 holes provide the most demanding test of a players skills in the Algarve, if not in Portugal. With the inevitable difficulty that flat landscaping and terrain creates with club selection, the holes are crossed and flanked by a series of streams, ditches and water hazards, demanding precisely executed shots to avoid trouble and achieve par. The course is beautifully maintained, winding past tall stands of eucalyptus and clumps of palm to mainly elevated greens which have subtle slopes and sometimes treacherous speeds.

The Academy Course, winding through the fairways of the Championship Course, is an interesting executive nine holes par 30 three par 4s and six par 3s. Originally designed for the casual or intermediate golfer it provides the ideal course for all year round holiday golf. The greens are relatively small and therefore accuracy off the tee and for approach shots is required and it also provides players the opportunity to fine tune their short game.

The Resort Course, a more recent nine holes on the north side of the hotel, strategically demanding, can also be considered a challenge for the more experienced players and equally provides gentle training grounds for beginners.

Penina Golf & Resort's range of accommodation features a selection of guest rooms and suites. Classic guest rooms are spread over the 4 floors and offer assorted views of the resort and nearby Monchique countryside. Executive studio rooms are located on the 4th floor and offer privileged panoramic views of the resort pool area and the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Golf Course from a private balcony. Family rooms are the ideal setting for the whole family and offer 2 separate bedrooms, both with a private balcony which offer either views of the resort pool area and the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Golf Course or the Monchique mountain country side.
