The course is noticeable for its lack of bunkers as it benefits from a combination of tricky tight fairways and small greens, requiring accurate golf to make a score here. A person who thinks their way around can really make the most of the shorter par fours and avoiding the water is always a good play.
Phoenix Course

The Phoenix course is the smaller of the two courses and offers a great introduction to golf with some easier holes as well as a test for the more complete golfer as 9 of the holes were part of the original 18. Both courses wind through tree lined areas but the Phoenix has a more open middle section to allow players a bit of freedom.
Accommodation
Cottesmore has 21 comfortable and rural style bedrooms, benefiting from an individual feel for all as the building was constructed from farm buildings in the grounds of the original manor house. The resort also has Health and Spa facilities for you to use and unwind after a pleasurable day's golfing, and further facilities such as tennis courts are also available.
Food and Drink
The Resorts Challis Restaurant has many traditional and adventurous dishes which satisfy the pallet of all those who visit. With further banqueting and conference rooms, the hotel can cater for all occasions, especially large golfing groups and societies.
Golf Tuition and Practice Facilities
Callum, the resident PGA professional, offers teaching to all ages and abilities - accompanied by assistants - to deliver the best possible level of lesson to all who use his services.
