Prince's Grant Golf Estate

On the breathtaking Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal lies Prince's Grant Golf Estate. This North Coast jewel is situated forty-five minutes north of Durban and twenty kilometres from Ballito. An exquisite golf destination - When the development was designed, it differed from most golf course estates in that the golf course took precedence and was given first bite of the land. This is particularly evident in the case of the magnificent fifteenth hole which occupies prime real estate which in most developments would probably have been allocated to housing. Peter Matkovich has skillfully worked the land and today we have a course which is sympathetic to the natural environment.

Since opening in 1994 the Prince's Grant golf course has flourished just as the design team intended. With large greens and impressive fairways, it creates a completely unique and challenging experience for any golfer. The course is a links parkland layout, designed and constructed by Peter Matkovich. The variation in elevation, the use of natural terrain and clever bunkering along with spectacular sea views add to the success of this design. Princes Grant is ranked amongst the top twenty golf courses in the country and also received a Five Star Golf Experience award in 2005. And, after a hard day out in the fresh air its good to know that the clubhouse sports two restaurants, The Bunkers restaurant and Mulligans Pub.

The Lodge offers four star accommodation with 15 rooms that overlook either the course or the sea, as well as a fully equipped salon and conferencing facilities. Situated on a totally unspoilt stretch of coastline, it is built on hills that were once sugar cane fields.
