Argentario Resort Golf & Spa
Resort Summary
The Argentario enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which means that it is quite mild throughout the year. It is characterised by a long summer with moderate heat (mitigated by sea breezes) and mild winters with rare frosts. Rainfalls are quite scarce and rarely lasts long. It is therefore a great climate that allows visitors to play golf and enjoy beautiful days outdoors for practically 365 days a year.
The luxury resort hotel has 73 design rooms, each featuring a terrace with views of the golf course or Monte Argentario. The Dama Dama Restaurant offers Tuscan and Italian cuisine, with particular attention to the culinary traditions of the Maremma region. The large outdoor areas include a panoramic terrace, a swimming pool with solarium zone and 3 tennis courts.
The ESPACE wellness centre covers a 2,700 m area where guests will find the humid zone and the relaxation area, the large fitness centre, the indoor swimming pool, and a variety of services that go from the coiffeur to the UVA solarium. The spa also features the MEDISPA Medical Centre, where you can book dermaesthetic medicine treatments and naturopathy and nutrition programmes.
Golf Courses
Among the 18 panoramic holes with mostly small greens, two dominate the sea and the lagoon, one is immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation, and another features water hazard running along one side of the green. A refreshing breeze mitigates the temperature and adds an extra challenge to the game which, on this course, requires a combination of accuracy and power.
Accommodation
All rooms have a terrace with views of the golf course or Monte Argentario. They are distributed on four different levels and individually decorated according to their category, enabling guests to enjoy a different ambiance on every occasion.
All rates include a varied breakfast buffet, access to free Wi-Fi, covered parking, driving range, tennis and football courts, outdoor swimming pool and access to the Espace wellness centre (Turkish bath, Finnish sauna for men, biosauna for women, tropical sensory showers, relaxation area, Technogym fitness area, heated indoor pools, Kneipp treatment, thalassotherapy pool, cascades).
Food and Drink
The cellar is run by the famous wine journalist and taster Luca Maroni, and pays special attention to wines from Maremma Tuscany.
The Dama Dama Restaurant is an ironic and contemporary vision of an elegant mountain retreat. The copies of designer hunting trophies and velvets with natural fabrics make this an unexpected place in the resort. Here, guests can dine in a cosy ambiance with fireplace or candlelight.
During summer, meals are also served on the panoramic terrace that overlooks the surrounding green landscape of the Argentario.
Golf Tuition and Practice Facilities
The golf course features 24 practice tees, 12 of which are covered. They cover a distance of about 300 metres and are located next to the buvette refreshment point and hole 1. Its the perfect place to prepare for 18 holes of golf.
The main putting green area, the chipping area and the practice bunker are just a few metres away from the Buvette. You can also test your putting skills on a second practice green, which is located behind the driving range and next to hole 1.
