Resort Summary

This luxury resort with golf course and wellness centre is in the heart of the Maremma Tuscany between Talamone and Capalbio. The property is 4 km from Porto Ercole and lies in a protected Mediterranean oasis offering a unique panorama of extraordinary beauty.

With 18 championship holes and a driving range, the Argentario Golf Club occupies 77 hectares in an environment of great landscape value which has received the BioAgriCert environmental certification. The range of services include the Club House and the Buvette, the pro shop.

The Argentario enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which means that it is quite mild throughout the year. It is characterised by a long summer with moderate heat (mitigated by sea breezes) and mild winters with rare frosts. Rainfalls are quite scarce and rarely lasts long. It is therefore a great climate that allows visitors to play golf and enjoy beautiful days outdoors for practically 365 days a year.

The luxury resort hotel has 73 design rooms, each featuring a terrace with views of the golf course or Monte Argentario. The Dama Dama Restaurant offers Tuscan and Italian cuisine, with particular attention to the culinary traditions of the Maremma region. The large outdoor areas include a panoramic terrace, a swimming pool with solarium zone and 3 tennis courts.

The ESPACE wellness centre covers a 2,700 m area where guests will find the humid zone and the relaxation area, the large fitness centre, the indoor swimming pool, and a variety of services that go from the coiffeur to the UVA solarium. The spa also features the MEDISPA Medical Centre, where you can book dermaesthetic medicine treatments and naturopathy and nutrition programmes.

Designed by David Mezzacane & Baldovino Dassu
The 18-hole golf course and the driving range, which were inaugurated in 2006, have been designed by the architect David Mezzacane and the professional golfer Baldovino Dass. The holes were subsequently shaped by Brian Jorgensen the result is a varied, spectacular and technically challenging course.

Among the 18 panoramic holes with mostly small greens, two dominate the sea and the lagoon, one is immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation, and another features water hazard running along one side of the green. A refreshing breeze mitigates the temperature and adds an extra challenge to the game which, on this course, requires a combination of accuracy and power.

Food and Drink

At the Dama Dama Restaurant, the executive chef Emiliano Lombardelli creatively interprets Mediterranean cuisine with particular care for local products, presenting them in a gourmet version. The restaurant was created by the renowned restaurateur Fabrizio Santucci, owner of Il Caminetto in Rome.

The cellar is run by the famous wine journalist and taster Luca Maroni, and pays special attention to wines from Maremma Tuscany.

The Dama Dama Restaurant is an ironic and contemporary vision of an elegant mountain retreat. The copies of designer hunting trophies and velvets with natural fabrics make this an unexpected place in the resort. Here, guests can dine in a cosy ambiance with fireplace or candlelight.

During summer, meals are also served on the panoramic terrace that overlooks the surrounding green landscape of the Argentario.

The driving range offers you the opportunity to improve your game while admiring the surrounding panorama.
