Owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel nestles amongst well-tended woodlands on the banks of the delightful River Teviot. All of the 22 bedrooms have been individually designed, many by the Duchess of Roxburghe herself. Some have four-poster beds and log fires. All have a unique and charming character.

The Roxburghe Estate is not just the perfect place for golfers. There are also fishing, shooting, mountain-biking, riding and beauty treatments on offer. The Estate boasts some of Scotland's best salmon fishing with a wide range of fishing options including two much sought after beats on the River Tweed Upper and Lower Floors. Or you can try your hand at fly-fishing with the help of our tutors at our Fly Fishing Centre of Excellence. The Roxburghe Estate also offers shooting for pheasant, partridge and grouse plus the opportunity to try clay pigeon shooting. We can also organise including competitions and tuition if required. The Roxburghe Hotel also has a Beauty Suite with professionally qualified staff offering a wide range of indulgent treatments or if you are feeling more energetic you can try mountain biking at Glen Tress or take to the saddle for a cross-country hack or tailored equestrian tuition.

The Roxburghe Hotel is recognised as one of the most relaxed and friendly country house hotels in Scotland. The 22 bedrooms have been carefully designed to let you relax in comfort, elegance and luxury. Many of them individually designed by the Duchess, a designer in her own right. The accommodation includes four poster rooms and suites some with real log fires. There are 16 rooms situated in the Main House and 6 rooms in the Courtyard which are ideal for families, golfing groups and sporting guests. All rooms are furnished with care and elegance, fully equipped with flatscreen TV and satellite channels, ipod stations and wifi.

The Scottish Borders is renowned for the quality of its fish, meat, game and local produce - all of which is cooked to perfection. To complement the cuisine there is an extensive list of wines from around the world including a selection of fine and rare wines from the Dukes own cellar. Using homegrown produce of game from the Estate, salmon, wild mushrooms and freshly picked herbs from the garden, Roxburghe's new Head Chef Neville Merrin, is particular to ensure everything produced in his kitchen is fresh and home made.
